This past week has been quite eventful. Some major accomplishments this week include: drying in the roof as well as successfully passing an inspection from Cache County regarding the exterior. The shingles were delivered this past week along with the siding. The building has been wrapped with a weather resistant barrier. Western Mechanical finished up all their flues and put caps on the roof flues. A significant amount of work has been accomplished in the area of trenching and laying the conduit for electric utility, Comcast, and Qwest for the entire subdivision. Our future short term goals would include the scheduled 4 way inspection with cache county Thursday the 28th and we hope to start insulation by the first of September.

It is exciting when you realize how much has been accomplished since the first week in April 2008 when we first broke ground on this project. On phase 1A, all of the underground water and sewer lines are installed and tested. Almost all of the curb and gutter are in. We have started to install the electric, telephone, and gas utilities now also. Legrand-Johnson was here today finalizing the paving plan for the streets that will be started by the end of August. We are now 10 weeks into the construction of building #144 and are nearing our 4-way inspection with the County by mid next week. Take a look at the slide show and you can see how the building is taking shape with the roof "dried-in" and the windows installed. Note that all the photos documenting progress with past slide shows are kept and available to review via a dated link on this page for reference.
